Salon Spray Tan

Many salons nationwide also offer spray tanning service usually costing circa £20 or so. If you want a spray tan by a professional rather than yourself, then it is worth investigating which shops offer this spray tanning service.

The Tanning Shop have a number of salons across the UK and have been offering this spray tan service for a number of years using Californian Tan, upon deciding to go ahead the consultant will then decide what colour you can use, on you based on your height body size and skin colour. Then you will be asked to watch an instructional video before you enter a tanning booth approximately 1 m in diameter . You remove all of your clothing and you are asked to put some vassaline over palms etc and the soles of your feet so that they won’t get stained. Once naked you close the unit behind you and simply hit a button and a fine mist of spray will cover you front first and then after a short pause, you turn around and the mist sprays you from head to toe down you back. This process takes less than 60 seconds, once dry you can put your clothes back on in your tan will naturally develop as to the colour indicated previously. This is a nice tan generally and should last a few days and of course much healthier than going for a sunbed. There are vouchers are available and courses can be booked which reduce each cost.

For each spray tan session The Tanning Shop suggests that you exfoliate 24 hours before hand and wear clothing that is  preferably not white as the tan could stain. Wax 24 hours before the appointment and  if you’re tainting eyelashes or eyebrows you need to wait at least 24 hours again too.

Fake Bake also offer a professional spray tan application service generally taking only up to 15 minutes either at home or in a Fake Bake salon. There are two different tan liquids to choose from original and dark and the treatment is provided to you by a qualified Fake Bake professional, who will advise you as to which colour will be most appropriate for your natural skin tone. This is appleid by using a spray gun. Paper underwear will be provided to ensure you don’t colour anywhere that won’t look natural. And whilst you stand in thier special booth the consultant will work around you making sure that you don’t go too dark in certain places and ensuring that your tan is natural in it’s outcome.


More salon spray tan advice…

You’ll be looking of paying upwards of 25 per application. Salons vary as to which spray tanners they use too. Generally speaking either a trained salon worker will spray you, whilst you wear paper knickers and nothing else to make sure you colour evenly. They’ll be able to find the right colour mix for you and all you have to do is make various positions they ask you to do as they spray away. This whole process generally takes about 20 mins as you dry at the end.

Or…an automated Spray Booth

The Tanning shop generally have these and spray tans can be purchased in volume say 5 for more of a discount. The trained person will show you how to stand, you’ll then take your clothes off and enter a machine that will spray you. This is generally faster than having someone to actually spray you and costs less too.
